This is your invitation to enjoy unique and wonderful events that support the Pinnacle Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity underwritten by Pinnacle Yachts. Please ask your family, friends and business associates to join you for a memorable time on the water as all are welcome.

The Pinnacle Foundation supports small, non-profit organizations in the arts, education and community service that otherwise have very limited access to capital. Nearly every dollar of your donation will be given to these organizations as Pinnacle Yachts pays for all expense associated with these events.

2013 Air & Water Show Aboard the Yacht “OCEAN” – The Largest, Fastest and Most Beautiful Sailboat in Chicago

A symbol of freedom, progressive thinking and teamwork, the yacht “OCEAN” is Chicago’s flagship and one of the largest racing sailboats in the world. Her gleaming deep-blue hull, 100 foot mast and 14 foot keel cuts through the water with effortless grace. Above you will witness a spectacular array of aircraft as the famous Chicago Air & Water Show releases its awesome might!

Join the fortunate few who will enjoy this great event from the water aboard this magnificent yacht. We will sail fast but conservatively and anchor near the show epicenter if conditions permit. A delicious catered lunch will be provided. The yacht sails dry so adult beverages are not allowed.

A donation of $250 reserves a seat for the entire day aboard “OCEAN” for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.  You may help sail the yacht if you wish but experience is not required.

Because this is a charity event, should Pinnacle cancel due to weather, half of your donation will be refunded and half will be retained as your generous contribution to the Pinnacle Foundation.  Should you cancel or miss participating, the full amount of your donation will be retained.

9/11 American Hero Tribute Sail Aboard the Yacht “OCEAN”

Wednesday, September 11, 2013, Noon – 6:00

The Pinnacle Foundation believes the special women and men of 9/11 have made our nation stronger. Some look at us now from heaven and some still walk among us. They are mothers, fathers, sons and daughters – patriots that we must always remember.

Join us in a tribute to the many Americans who sacrificed, responded and served our great nation on and after 9/11. We will motor the mighty yacht “OCEAN” as an icon of American Freedom slowly across Chicago’s entire lakefront from south to north while flying a massive 40 x 60 foot American Flag from her 100 foot mast. We will then lower the flag ceremoniously, raise the main and jib, and sail fast across the entire Chicago skyline once again in a demonstration of our strength as nation that was unified and inspired on that day.

A donation of $150 reserves your seat and provides a box lunch for this very special event aboard “OCEAN”. You may help sail the yacht if you wish but experience is not required.

“The Pinnacle Cup” – Yacht Race Challenge

Friday, September 20, 2013, Noon – 5:00

Aboard a fleet of magnificent Jeanneau 42 and 45 foot sailing yachts, your group of up six families, friends and business associates race offshore in pursuit of the coveted Pinnacle Trophy.

Team members rotate through the positions of helmsman, mainsail trimmer and jib trimmer under the guidance of a skilled  U.S.C.G. Licensed Captain, so prior experience is not required.

The event begins at Noon with the race briefing over a fabulous hot lunch at the Chicago Yacht Club. Steeped in nautical tradition, the club sets the perfect tenor for the race.

The fleet then departs and teams practice. Yachts converge to the start area and jockey for best position. Adrenaline fills the air as the gun is anticipated. The race commences and the yachts round four marks on reaching legs. The boats and their crew endeavor for the glory of being first to finish, as photographs record this epic competition.

Afterwards, the fleet returns to the Chicago Yacht Club bar for drinks, camaraderie and presentation of the Pinnacle Trophy.

This unique event will be talked-about by your crew for many years to come. We hope you are up for the challenge.

Your donation covers your crew of up to six people and includes U.S.C.G. Captain fees, the yacht, yacht club facilities and a great buffet lunch. A cash bar is at the club after the race.
